West of Trinity College, Temple Bar’s cobbled lanes lead to the Old City: Dublin Castle, Christ Church Cathedral and Dublinia, and beyond them St Patrick’s and the Liberties, the old weaving and brewing quarter, where the Guinness Storehouse and three whiskey distilleries stand.
Sights
The Book of Kells Experience, Christ Church Cathedral, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Marsh’s Library, Dublinia, the Guinness Storehouse, Kilmainham Gaol and IMMA. Dublin Castle reopens in January 2027.

D’Olier Street and Variety Jones (One MICHELIN Star, 2026); Spitalfields (Bib Gourmand); Pichet and The Winding Stair.
Visit Trinity and the Book of Kells first thing, before the crowds.
